MSU Study Away programs offer courses and internships at locations within the United States. Programs allow students to apply classroom knowledge in professional settings.

All programs are open to all majors, with most courses coming from the College of Social Science. However, many programs offer course credit in Arts & Letters, Communication Arts & Sciences, James Madison College and College of Agriculture & Natural Resources.

Michigan State University has a long history of international engagement and has been a leader in the nation for study abroad participation among public universities. MSU offers programs in over 60 countries on all continents with more than 275 education abroad programs, during all semesters including winter and spring breaks.
